The Merida One-Twenty 400 Dual Suspension Mountain Bike is a versatile trail speedster that hits all of the right spots. It tries to bring together the climbing ability of the Merida Ninety XC race bike with descending capabilities of the Merida One Forty all-mountain bike. The light alloy frame is equipped with a 120mm Suntour Unair TR LOR8 Rear Shock and Suntour XCR34 LOR Fork with 130mm travel for versatile trail performance. The Float Link Rear Suspension Design moves with the system to deliver sensitive response characteristics and this really is a difference-maker.

The Shimano 1x11 Speed Deore Drivetrain is more than respectable with its smooth and reliable shifting given the efficient 1x setup. The Tektro M275 Hydraulic Disc Brakes which are also equipped on many bikes in this price range, are more than capable when it comes to responsive braking power that allows you to properly take on the trails. The 29x2.4” Maxxis Rekon tyres are matched with light Merida Comp CC aluminium rims and together they provide a ride that is relatively smooth with a respectable blend of traction and speed.

The Merida One-Twenty 400 Dual Suspension Mountain Bike is built for robust performance, an extremely capable trail bike that doesn’t shy away from any challenges. The Shimano Groupset is swift and the Suntour suspension will perform admirably for many rides to come.

Features

Float Link Rear Suspension: The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver sensitive response characteristics. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio and progression meaning a ‘Float Link’ rear suspension system appears to offer more travel than the model name suggests.

Superlite 16 Alloy: Our latest grade of aluminium (6016) enables super thin wall thicknesses whilst delivering amazing strength, ideal for demanding off-road riding and racing.

X-Taper Headtube: Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence-inspiring steering.

Internal Cable: Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

Smooth Welding: Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance you will be convinced it is carbon.

Smart Entry: Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.

Recently got in touch with these guys for a part I wanted to purchase. They were friendly and courteous throughout. Given the nature of my query/purchase, I spoke with Ben, Simon and Titch who were all great and progressed my query for me. Great service!
