With a triple-butted alloy frame, riders are offered the optimum blend of lightweight performance and durability. While Merida has utilised their proven Float Link suspension design to offer a stable and easily controllable platform that makes use of every millimetre of travel when it's required on demanding trails. Speaking of travel, the One-Twenty 600 offers 130mm of travel up front through the legendary Marzocchi Z2 Bomber matched with 120mm of articulated rear wheel travel thanks to the everpresent RockShox Deluxe Select+ Shock. Naturally, you're offered air suspension all around for improved damping and compression rates while lockout comes standard for incredible climbing performance.
Merida designed the One-Twenty 600 to offer a classic trail riding experience, yet remain focused on lightweight climbing performance. This might sound like a practically impossible task to achieve, however, the One-Twenty 600 really fits this bill. It's fast and agile on technically demanding trails and highly capable through rough and ready sections. Naturally, this can be attributed to the proven Float Link suspension, however, much can be attributed to the specs on offer. Indeed, with the impressive Shimano XT drivetrain offering a wide-range 12 speed drivetrain matched with the lightweight RaceFace Ride chainwheel, the One-Twenty 600s efficiency is unparalleled, whether you're on the flat or climbing steep mountain faces. Equally, the two-piston hydraulic disc brakes ensure riders remain in control thanks to their powerful application and easy two-finger braking levers. While an integrated dropper post offers you greater off saddle control for technical descents. Finally, large 29" Merida Expert TR rims with wide 2.35" Maxxis Forekaster tyres allow you to easily roll over anything in your way and provide superior cornering grip in all weather conditions.
Merida Big Trail 600

Before you know it, you'll be bombing down technical trails and sending it over huge gaps as you chase personal records! With the included Merida-branded long travel dropper post, standover height can be reduced allowing you to manoeuvre more easily as the trail gets more technical. While the modern trail geometry ensures that you can maintain control even when pushing your limit and yet still climb with ease thanks to the central seating position over the bottom bracket.
Merida has taken the liberty of upgrading the Big.Trail 600 to a 12 speed Shimano Deore drivetrain with remote actuated clutch, offering better ratios for trail riding, whether you're climbing or descending, you'll find you can keep going for hours on end without getting tired. With a better fork and drivetrain, Merida have recognised that riders will be going harder, so they've upgraded the Big.Trail 600 with Shimano Hydraulic Disc brakes. Not only does this result in increased braking performance, the Deore units also feature better modulation and won't fade after repeated braking, so you can brake later and harder as you chase Q/KOM status. Finally, the neat inclusion of multiple mounting points for bottles and hidden rack, fender and kickstand mounts means the Big.Trail 600 is just as capable out on the trails, as it is bike-packing or commuting.

Norco Optic C2 Shimano
Regular price $6,899.00The Norco Optic was super popular with Hobat mountain bikers last year.
It even won 'Bike Of The Year' from Pinbike; it's an awesome trail mountain bike!
It's perfectly balanced for our local trails with 125mm of rear travel, 140mm up front, and long and low modern geometry.
The extra travel up front steadies the bike in rough terrain while the slightly lesser rear end provides enough suppleness to keep things tracking but not too much that the bike feels boring on flatter, less gravity orientated terrain. Combine this with Norco's 'Ride Aligned' bike design focus and you have a bike that is balanced in suspension and geometry like no other.
The Norco Optic is perfect for riders who relish the single, enjoy a lively agile ride and aren't afraid to spend some time in the saddle pedalling away.
This Optic C2 Shimano model gives riders that smooth, dependable XT drivetrain and brakes with Fox suspension front and rear to smooth out the trails. It's an impressive build kit to match a seriously impressive frame.
Merida One Twenty 400
Regular price $2,599.95The Merida One-Twenty 400 Dual Suspension Mountain Bike is a versatile trail speedster that hits all of the right spots. It tries to bring together the climbing ability of the Merida Ninety XC race bike with descending capabilities of the Merida One Forty all-mountain bike. The light alloy frame is equipped with a 120mm Suntour Unair TR LOR8 Rear Shock and Suntour XCR34 LOR Fork with 130mm travel for versatile trail performance. The Float Link Rear Suspension Design moves with the system to deliver sensitive response characteristics and this really is a difference-maker.
The Shimano 1x11 Speed Deore Drivetrain is more than respectable with its smooth and reliable shifting given the efficient 1x setup. The Tektro M275 Hydraulic Disc Brakes which are also equipped on many bikes in this price range, are more than capable when it comes to responsive braking power that allows you to properly take on the trails. The 29x2.4” Maxxis Rekon tyres are matched with light Merida Comp CC aluminium rims and together they provide a ride that is relatively smooth with a respectable blend of traction and speed.
The Merida One-Twenty 400 Dual Suspension Mountain Bike is built for robust performance, an extremely capable trail bike that doesn’t shy away from any challenges. The Shimano Groupset is swift and the Suntour suspension will perform admirably for many rides to come.
Float Link Rear Suspension: The lower shock mount moves with the system to deliver sensitive response characteristics. Our engineers can precisely influence the transmission ratio and progression meaning a ‘Float Link’ rear suspension system appears to offer more travel than the model name suggests.
Superlite 16 Alloy: Our latest grade of aluminium (6016) enables super thin wall thicknesses whilst delivering amazing strength, ideal for demanding off-road riding and racing.
X-Taper Headtube: Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence-inspiring steering.
Internal Cable: Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
Smooth Welding: Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance you will be convinced it is carbon.
Smart Entry: Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.
